EXPLORING MAURITIUS PART I

Hi guys,

Finally a new travel post!! Sorry for keeping you waiting for my Mauritius Post so long, but I had so much to do during my first days, that I never had time to finish this post. But now I did, so here we go.

The flight was obviously pretty long as Mauritius is located almost on the other side of the world. After a 12,5 hour flight, I finally arrived in the early morning. I booked already a taxi to pick me up from the airport, so I didn’t have to wait. It’s good to know that on Mauritius, you need to drive on the left side of the road. I stayed in an Airbnb in Albion. Once arrived I was welcomed very warmly by Patrick and his wife and were directly guided to our apartment which was so close to the sea, amazing! They also invited me to have a lunch on Sunday, they made a vegan lunch especially for me. Thank you so much you guys are great:)

Another day I went to Flic en Flac beach, white sand, green palms, a dark blue sky, and crystal clear water. The beach is several kilometers long, so I had a nice walk at the end of the day. And watch the sunset, the sunsets in Mauritius are so beautiful they are like next level. When the sky slowly turns pink is a magical moment!!

If you know me well then you know that I’m definitely team dogs. So every evening when I was sitting on the beach a lot of dogs keep me company. I think they are the most cutest dogs on Mauritius.

Thanks so much, Patrick and your family for making these days so special! I planned a lot of amazing things for the rest of these weeks, so stay curious. I hope to see you soon on my next Mauritius Post:)

xx Rachel
