In the past 3 years, I’ve decided to go vegan. This was definitely the best decision that I have ever made in my entire life so far. Before I went vegan I did a lot of research, and I think doing your research is so important. Because there are so many different vegan diets, for example, you’ve got the Raw Till 4 diet, Fully Raw Vegan diet, HCLF, Wholefoods Vegan diet. So you’ve to find the vegan lifestyle that works the best for you. I did try some of these vegan diets, for me, the HCLF vegan lifestyle works the best. This lifestyle includes that the most foods I eat are carbohydrates, like fresh fruits and veggies, beans, legumes and whole grains. I avoid salt or any types of oil but of course, do I eat unhealthy foods sometimes. If I eat something that isn’t healthy I make sure that my next meal is more balanced. But my into is a way too long, so let’s start…
A vegan diet contains plenty of fresh fruits and vegetables, whole grains, beans, legumes, a few healthy fats like avocados, nuts, and seeds. Because vegan diets often rely heavily on these healthy staples, they tend to be higher in vitamins, minerals, phytochemicals, and fiber. Since I’m eating this vegan diet, I have so much more energy. It’s insane, I go to the gym 4-5 days a week and I work on these days too. A big mistake that I made when I first went vegan was that I didn’t eat enough. I thought that if I ate the same amount of calories before I went vegan that it was ok. Effort fully I learned that you need to eat more plant-based products to feel satisfied then animal products. Now I eat until I am satisfied and don’t restrict myself or counting calories. I eat when I am hungry, I eat 5 to 6 meals a day that works for me. Perhaps you like to eat 3 big meals, I just found out that my digestion works better when I split up my big meals into smaller portions. Also, my digestion works so much better I am not bloated the whole time. I’m still learning how I can be healthier.
Veganism is not a limitation in any way:”It’s an expectation of your love, your commitment to nonviolence and your belief injustice for all.” -Gary L. Francione. It takes nothing away from a human to be kind to an animal. When I was little, I always liked visiting the zoo or the children’s farm. I learned from a young age that you need to respect the animals. In the meanwhile, I grew up with eating and drinking animals product. When we are children nobody doesn’t tell you that all these animals suffered for us. Too many people think that food is produced at the shop window. But we all need to understand that a hamburger and a dead cow are the same, the only difference is the name. Each and every animal on earth has as much right to be here as you. A few years ago, I also didn’t saw the difference but now I don’t want that any animal suffers because of me. So I became a vegetarian for a while, during that time I did a lot of research and watched some very interesting documentaries. I decide to go vegan, and it is the best decision I ever made in my entire life. When I now look into the eyes of an animal I don’t see an animal. I see a living being. I see a friend. I feel a soul.
Vegan food has a lighter footprint on the planet and is more compassionate on the earth! I am consistently opening and learning with each day how we can better care for this one planet we call home. I love to be surrounded by nature, it makes my soul glow from the inside. As a vegan, you can save the beautiful rain forest and the animals who live there. You can save gallons of water to help people who don’t have excise to water. You can save 1 animal a day. You can save food for those who are starving. You can stop the global warming. I don’t want to protect the environment, I want to create a world where the environment doesn’t need protection. But when I think realistic I know that that’s never going to happen, but I am still hopeful. So you can see going vegan was not a decision I made overnight. It was a process which developed over approximately 2 years. I am very curious about your feedback !! Also if you have any questions about veganism let me know in the comments.
